IT Governance with CObIT

The adoption of guidelines, regulations and laws such as Basel II or the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (Sox), not only means that company managers are becoming accountable, but that to some extent, the IT organisation is also becoming responsible for respecting these regulations. Nowadays, business processes interlock so tightly with Information Technology, that a company cannot expect to comply with legal requirements without the help of IT. The regular control and enhancement of IT processes is therefore essential.

CObIT (Control Objectives for Information and related Technology) provides an internationally recognised, integrated control system in the IT Governance domain, which offers standardised methods to measure and evaluate the efficiency of your IT processes.

You can use CobIT to determine the maturity of your IT processes through performance indicators and consequently detect and prevent risks.
