ITIL® v3 Foundation Bridge

The launch of ITIL® version 3 also brought structural changes to the ITIL® curriculum. The ITIL® v2 certificates are still valid, but those who would like to progress to ITIL® v3 qualifications must firstly gain the background knowledge required for the more demanding ITIL® v3 curriculum via the so-called ‘Bridge Courses‘.
The one-day ITIL® v3 Foundation Bridge seminar is an entrance requirement for certification on the more advanced ITIL® v3 Lifecycle and Capability stream seminars.

Attend this seminar and you will be well-equipped to tackle the more advanced ITIL® v3 training!
This seminar will clarify the terminology of the third version and provide an overview of the most important changes compared with version 2. You will understand the importance of the IT Service Lifecycle for your process organisation and get to grips with how the separate phases interrelate. Alongside the content of the 5 ITIL® v3 books, you will also discover the different interfaces, responsibilities, processes and functions, together with their impact on the ITIL® organisation.

The certification takes place at the end of the seminar and comprises a multiple-choice examination with 20 questions. A total of 13 out of the 20 questions (65%) must be answered correctly in less than 30 minutes.
You will be awarded 0.5 credits upon successful completion of the ITIL® v3 Foundation Bridge certification.

Learning objectives:

  • You will learn about the differences between ITIL® v2 und ITIL® v3.
  • You will discover the framework of the ITIL Service Lifecycle and its importance for IT Service Management.
  • You will be capable of working successfully on IT Service Management projects and providing a positive input.
  • You will build on your existing ITIL® v2 theory and gain the necessary knowledge required to progress to the ITIL® v3 training.
  • The internationally recognised ITIL® v3 Foundation Bridge certificate will be a written record that you understand the ITIL® v3 subject matter.

Prerequisites:

ITIL® v2 Foundation certificate

Target group:

IT Consultants, Managers and Project Managers, who are in charge of introducing and implementing ITIL® processes, holders of an ITIL® v2 certificate.
