This seminar provides an overview of IT Governance, briefly describes the ITIL and PRINCE2 approaches and presents CObIT, together with the model’s requirements, resources, processes and domains. However, the emphasis is on a practical approach to applying the methods presented, in accordance with basic legal requirements, such as SOx.
At the end of the course you are able to sit the CObIT Practioner certification examination from the ISACA. To prepare for the examination, we recommend that you read the CObIT 4.1 Executive Overview, which you can download here:

- Basic principles of CObIT
- CObIT framework
- Control objectives of CObIT
- Applying CObIT together with other standards
- Applying CObIT as an IT Governance framework
- The practical application of CObIT in organisational situations
- Using CObIT to comply with legal requirements
At the end of the course, you will be able to sit the CObIT Practitioner certification examination from the ISACA. This consists of 30 multiple-choice questions to complete within 30 minutes. At least 70% of the questions must be answered correctly to receive certification.
- You will be able to lead and control your processes precisely, using the CObIT framework.
- You will be able to use your CObIT skills to prepare for compliance requirements.
- You will know how to adapt processes in accordance with legal guidelines.
- You will learn how to define meaningful key figures and indicators.
- The internationally-recognised CObIT Practitioner certificate will document your aptitude of using CObIT approaches to establish and control processes and resources.
Existing knowledge about business processes and IT services are an advantage. To sit the examination, you must possess of a certificate of attendance from a CObIT training course with at least 12 x 50 minute CPE units.
