This seminar helps you to gain an insight into the possibilities of IT Governance and the CObIT framework, so that you can best align IT with your business processes.

At the end of the course you are able to sit the CObIT Basic Practioner certification examination from the ISACA. To prepare for the examination, we recommend that you read the CObIT 4.1 Executive Overview, which you can download here:

  • CObIT in relation to other standards 
  • Corporate Governance and IT Governance
  • IT Governance and CObIT
  • Selection criteria for indentifying relevant CObIT processes 
  • Approaches for using CObIT

At the end of the course you are able to sit the CObIT Basic Practitioner certification examination from the ISACA. The multiple-choice contains 20 questions which need to be completed within 20 minutes. A pass rate of 70% is required for certification.

Learning objectives:

  • You will become familiar with the most important CObIT components and principles.
  • You will understand relationships to other standards.
  • You will develop an understanding of how essential CObIT is for respecting legal requirements.
  • The internationally recognised CObIT Basic Practitioner certificate documents your understanding of the essential parts and principles of CObIT.

Prerequisites:

Basic knowledge of the ITIL approach to IT Service Management.
To sit the examination, you must possess a certificate of attendance from a CObIT training course with at least 6 x 50 minute CPE units.
